Visit from Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute

The Chief Technologist of Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Prof James Bellingham visited TMSI on 16 February 2009.  He was given a presentation on TMSI and briefed on its research directions. His visit was facilitated by Prof Lui Pao Chen.         The following day,Prof Bellingham and Prof Lui together with Dr Michael Holmes made a visit to St John’s Island.  Prof Bellingham had a lively discussion with Dr Tan Koh Siang and Dr Serena Teo on the varied projects carried out on the island.  The guests were then shown around the facilities and more discussions followed.   All too soon, they had to leave the island for lunch which was hosted by Director of TMSI, Prof Peter Ng, together with the heads of the various  research laboratories.
